Halloween is Around the Corner!

Hello everyone!

So I know I haven't posted in a long time... but here it goes.

I can't wait for Halloween. My favorite Holiday of the year. Even just the way the air feels and the crisp of dead leaves under your toes. I love how the sun sets each night, embracing the earth for as long as it can. The air feels thick and clean. And musty with the smell of life going in to hibernation. I love driving on the road under the bleak sky, the beautiful oranges, reds and yellows accenting the gray. Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the heat though, so it's kind of hard to give it up. Anyways, who loves Halloween? I know I do. I am still deciding who I want to be for Halloween though. I am deciding between... Link from Zelda, Lucille Ball, Velma from Scooby Doo or a very cute orange and black witch costume online.

Well.. Sorry it was so short, but I've got to run!

Thanks for reading!

Ketchup

Or catch up if you prefer. I prefer ketchup. Wow! So much has gone on since the last time I posted... Here's the scoop!

I had a wonderful Christmas, filled with family, fun... and food! New Year's was great, and January was... January I guess. Monotonous... drab... Anyways... I had a violin recital in January though... So I guess that wasn't drab! Once February picked up, things started getting more fun! I auditioned for the play "Much Ado About Nothing", and I will get to that a little later. I had a fantastic Valentine's day, with flowers, chocolates, and a nice dinner. We had goat babies on February 18th I think was the day, and boy are they cute! Mama goat Suzie had triplets, and everything went great! She had two boys, and one girl. If you want to come see them, come soon! They are at one of their cutest stages right now. Let's see... Oh right! Much Ado About Nothing. I auditioned for Beatrice, and luckily I did get Beatrice! Very exciting! I am very busy memorizing lines, going to rehearsals, etc. My play is on April 13th and 14th at The Midvale Main Street Theater if you want to come! We went to Disneyland as you might have seen, and it was so much fun. Already I have heart ache to go back though. I guess I will have to wait until my birthday.... HINT HINT!! HINT!! Sadly, our favorite ride "Splash Mountain" was closed, along with my favorite land Critter Country. And another fun thing that happened in Disneyland, was that I got to play fiddle! There was a man in Frontierland playing his fiddle, and of COURSE I stopped to watch him. He asked where I was from, and asked if I played fiddle. Then he let me play his post Civil War inlaid violin! It was a dream come true! Another thing I suppose I should mention... I got a full sized violin! It is a 1998 Scott Cao violin. It was my violin teachers old violin, that she thought she was going to keep forever, until she stumbled upon a really GREAT violin for a really GREAT price! I loooove my new violin so much! It sounds amazing, and it is so beautiful to play. I can't think of anything else off of the top of my head right now... Me and my mom worked outside ALL day today! Guess that's all for now!

Toodle loo!

WE'RE BACK!

Wow! That was a long trip. I am glad we are home, and safe now. I don't like leaving my pets, and my bed, and such at home. It was a fun trip though! I am glad that we got to go, and spend all that family time together. My dad's whole family made the effort to drive to Gilbert for a Thanksgiving. BRINGHURST STYLE! Thanksgiving is unbelievably nice in Arizona. So warm, and relaxing. Any who, my brain is kind of frazzled right now, so I am trying to organize my thoughts for this post. Basically, this is the stuff I am filtering. lkaus7ye8ryaBvlajhp;]q7wucfjhdfahj vausyf uYHP78y aos7di8f8iaj 8967w78346 t0p awriye o98qe yrqh3p4987feyhaqbwlehflo76qaet78oq8aiw2w7q34ityr 784o pqe8r7f yvpq98734wr7fy qpu8eyf qiwrufty qw7465r oqeywfihq eo8246y uoqr'wavgrwf7yqowietiuhf kqui3o4w8efsdhuyjbnqwf....... Yup. That's the stuff. Well, the trip started on Wednesday afternoon, when we left the homestead at about 3:30. A little later than what we wanted, but we were NOT ready! We drove to Vegas on Wednesday, and stayed the night in the Stratosphere. My Mom accidentally forgot to pack my dad's contact lens solution, so we had to stop at a local Walmart to buy some. We decided to take my mom's dog, Dill, with us, and I decided to take my bird Kiwi. That meant we had to smuggle them into the Stratosphere... Boy was that fun! Luckily everything went fine with that. Thursday morning, we moved right along, and got on the road to Arizona! We were about five minutes away from the hotel when my dad started getting an allergy attack from the new contact lens solution. He started sniffling, getting a tight chest, and runny eyes. So he had to take those out, and wear his glasses. That was interesting! Once we got to our destination, the trailer, we dropped off our stuff, and I put my bird in his cage so he could stay there while we went to Thanksgiving dinner. We headed towards the Woodards house which is in Gilbert, and ate a FANTASTIC(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Thanksgiving dinner! Graciously prepared by my Uncle Nate. There was turkey, of course, ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, jello, yummy yams, corn, and probably more, but I can't think of it right now! It was such a good dinner, and I loved it a ton. We then visited for a while, and then we went back to the trailer. Friday, we went to Goldfield Mine town in Apache Junction with the Bringhursts! It was alot of fun. Later that day, we had a birthday party for my cousin Ryliegh at Peter Piper Pizza. The next day, we just relaxed, went to lunch at Cilantro's, I mean, Oregano's, went to the Woodards (I baked cookies!) and then went to dinner at Sakana, While my Aunt and Uncle went to Jim Gaffigan... Lucky..... Sunday, we got ready to go home, and drove half way to Vegas, and Monday, we drove the rest of the way home! Now here we are. Home. Safe. Happy. My mom made the best dinner tonight too. She made cheese pasta salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, and broccoli, and cauliflower. It was the best! Anyways, I am way tired, so Toodleloo!

VACATION

Well, I can't post for long since there is so much to do, but... I thought I could try and squeeze this one in! We are going on a vacation! We are leaving tomorrow afternoon to head down to the Sunny Arizona. We were originally gonna go for two and a half weeks, then we were gonna go for one and a half weeks... now we are going for just a few days! It will be more like a vacation, because we will only have Dill, and it will be quick. Any who... We are going down for Thanksgiving, go figure, and it should be really fun! I hope my uncle Nate cooks up some goooood food! I am thinking about going to Black Friday in Arizona, But I am not totally sure yet. It would be a lot warmer than doing it here! Anyways, I have Sooooo much to do!

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope it is great...

Is that...?

Well, the other night, while my mom was having her book group, me, my brother, and my dad went out to dinner! We were trying to decide where to go, and we had a few special "needs" that night. I could only eat soup, or something soft, because I went to to orthodontist the day before, and all my teeth were sore. Brit wanted something vegetarian, and yummy. Like a garden burger. We were on our way to South Towne, and my dad suggested Mimi's Cafe. It sounded great to me, because I could get Corn Chowder, and a Bran muffin, and Brit could get a veggie burger! We went to Mimi's, got seated, and began our night. I ordered (of course), the corn chowder, and the bran muffin, and Brit ordered the French Quarter burger, with a garden burger substitute, and my Dad ordered the three course meal dealio. He got French Onion soup, Mahi Mahi entree, and a triple fudge brownie for dessert. I thought the meal was really good! It hit the spot just right... While my dad was eating his dessert, (letting us have some bites of course) This family came in. There was a man, and two woman. Now, there's something you have to understand here. They were all just a tad over-weight, one of the women didn't wear a bra, and the man had long hair, a beard, a lumber-jack coat, and he had his hood pulled up over his head. Not long after they sat down, I got a text. I looked at my phone, and the text was from my dad. The text read, "Don't stare, but the guy sitting behind Brit looks like Obi-Wan Kanobi" I, having already been "glancing" at him, knew exactly what my dad was talking about. I had my own thoughts about him. I texted my dad back, "I thought he looked more like Brian David Mitchell" The night continued on, until my brother asked, "Young, or old?" My dad replied, "Mmm, Old" I was very confused at this point until my brother asked again, "Episode 1, or episode 4?" By this point, I knew they were talking about "Obi-Wan David Mitchell". It was an interesting night! But the food was good, the company was great, and I had a good time.

THANKSGIVING

Wow, Thanksgiving must be one of my favorite holidays. All the food, family, but most of all, the FOOD! I love the turkey, the stuffing, the root vegetables, yams, pie.... I could go on and on! I look forward to it every year, and this year we will be in Arizona! I can't wait to bake pies, and yams, and turkey turkey turkey! Usually I am a fairly strict vegetarian, but during thanksgiving, that all goes out the window! I love to bake, for one thing, so if I am given the excuse to bake something, then boy oh boy will I bake it! Cookies, cakes, pies, anything that goes in the oven, I like to cook. And I have two aprons. One is a full body apron, that my Grandma Diane made for me, and it is SOOOO cute! I love it to death. I got it for my birthday this year! My other apron is a half apron that my Grandma Kay bought for me at Gardner Village! It is off white on one side, and the other side is white, with green and blue eggs on it. Then there is a blue/green/orange stripe going down the middle, and the pockets are way cute. OH and on the white side, it says Rise and Shine! It is my cleaning apron. Today I am feeling better, and I think I got whatever it was out of my system. Yay! Now we have a lot to do today, because my mom has her book group tonight. Should be fun! They read Little Britches. She is gonna make Chicken Dumpling Soup, Brandied Carrots, Custard Cream Pie, and, I think that's it. Should be fun! Me and my dad and brother are gonna go to dinner while she is having it. Well, There's a lot of work to do! I should be able to post again tomorrow.
