WE'RE BACK!

Wow! That was a long trip. I am glad we are home, and safe now. I don't like leaving my pets, and my bed, and such at home. It was a fun trip though! I am glad that we got to go, and spend all that family time together. My dad's whole family made the effort to drive to Gilbert for a Thanksgiving. BRINGHURST STYLE! Thanksgiving is unbelievably nice in Arizona. So warm, and relaxing. Any who, my brain is kind of frazzled right now, so I am trying to organize my thoughts for this post. Basically, this is the stuff I am filtering. lkaus7ye8ryaBvlajhp;]q7wucfjhdfahj vausyf uYHP78y aos7di8f8iaj 8967w78346 t0p awriye o98qe yrqh3p4987feyhaqbwlehflo76qaet78oq8aiw2w7q34ityr 784o pqe8r7f yvpq98734wr7fy qpu8eyf qiwrufty qw7465r oqeywfihq eo8246y uoqr'wavgrwf7yqowietiuhf kqui3o4w8efsdhuyjbnqwf....... Yup. That's the stuff. Well, the trip started on Wednesday afternoon, when we left the homestead at about 3:30. A little later than what we wanted, but we were NOT ready! We drove to Vegas on Wednesday, and stayed the night in the Stratosphere. My Mom accidentally forgot to pack my dad's contact lens solution, so we had to stop at a local Walmart to buy some. We decided to take my mom's dog, Dill, with us, and I decided to take my bird Kiwi. That meant we had to smuggle them into the Stratosphere... Boy was that fun! Luckily everything went fine with that. Thursday morning, we moved right along, and got on the road to Arizona! We were about five minutes away from the hotel when my dad started getting an allergy attack from the new contact lens solution. He started sniffling, getting a tight chest, and runny eyes. So he had to take those out, and wear his glasses. That was interesting! Once we got to our destination, the trailer, we dropped off our stuff, and I put my bird in his cage so he could stay there while we went to Thanksgiving dinner. We headed towards the Woodards house which is in Gilbert, and ate a FANTASTIC(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Thanksgiving dinner! Graciously prepared by my Uncle Nate. There was turkey, of course, ham, stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, jello, yummy yams, corn, and probably more, but I can't think of it right now! It was such a good dinner, and I loved it a ton. We then visited for a while, and then we went back to the trailer. Friday, we went to Goldfield Mine town in Apache Junction with the Bringhursts! It was alot of fun. Later that day, we had a birthday party for my cousin Ryliegh at Peter Piper Pizza. The next day, we just relaxed, went to lunch at Cilantro's, I mean, Oregano's, went to the Woodards (I baked cookies!) and then went to dinner at Sakana, While my Aunt and Uncle went to Jim Gaffigan... Lucky..... Sunday, we got ready to go home, and drove half way to Vegas, and Monday, we drove the rest of the way home! Now here we are. Home. Safe. Happy. My mom made the best dinner tonight too. She made cheese pasta salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, and broccoli, and cauliflower. It was the best! Anyways, I am way tired, so Toodleloo!

VACATION

Well, I can't post for long since there is so much to do, but... I thought I could try and squeeze this one in! We are going on a vacation! We are leaving tomorrow afternoon to head down to the Sunny Arizona. We were originally gonna go for two and a half weeks, then we were gonna go for one and a half weeks... now we are going for just a few days! It will be more like a vacation, because we will only have Dill, and it will be quick. Any who... We are going down for Thanksgiving, go figure, and it should be really fun! I hope my uncle Nate cooks up some goooood food! I am thinking about going to Black Friday in Arizona, But I am not totally sure yet. It would be a lot warmer than doing it here! Anyways, I have Sooooo much to do!

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope it is great...

Is that...?

Well, the other night, while my mom was having her book group, me, my brother, and my dad went out to dinner! We were trying to decide where to go, and we had a few special "needs" that night. I could only eat soup, or something soft, because I went to to orthodontist the day before, and all my teeth were sore. Brit wanted something vegetarian, and yummy. Like a garden burger. We were on our way to South Towne, and my dad suggested Mimi's Cafe. It sounded great to me, because I could get Corn Chowder, and a Bran muffin, and Brit could get a veggie burger! We went to Mimi's, got seated, and began our night. I ordered (of course), the corn chowder, and the bran muffin, and Brit ordered the French Quarter burger, with a garden burger substitute, and my Dad ordered the three course meal dealio. He got French Onion soup, Mahi Mahi entree, and a triple fudge brownie for dessert. I thought the meal was really good! It hit the spot just right... While my dad was eating his dessert, (letting us have some bites of course) This family came in. There was a man, and two woman. Now, there's something you have to understand here. They were all just a tad over-weight, one of the women didn't wear a bra, and the man had long hair, a beard, a lumber-jack coat, and he had his hood pulled up over his head. Not long after they sat down, I got a text. I looked at my phone, and the text was from my dad. The text read, "Don't stare, but the guy sitting behind Brit looks like Obi-Wan Kanobi" I, having already been "glancing" at him, knew exactly what my dad was talking about. I had my own thoughts about him. I texted my dad back, "I thought he looked more like Brian David Mitchell" The night continued on, until my brother asked, "Young, or old?" My dad replied, "Mmm, Old" I was very confused at this point until my brother asked again, "Episode 1, or episode 4?" By this point, I knew they were talking about "Obi-Wan David Mitchell". It was an interesting night! But the food was good, the company was great, and I had a good time.

THANKSGIVING

Wow, Thanksgiving must be one of my favorite holidays. All the food, family, but most of all, the FOOD! I love the turkey, the stuffing, the root vegetables, yams, pie.... I could go on and on! I look forward to it every year, and this year we will be in Arizona! I can't wait to bake pies, and yams, and turkey turkey turkey! Usually I am a fairly strict vegetarian, but during thanksgiving, that all goes out the window! I love to bake, for one thing, so if I am given the excuse to bake something, then boy oh boy will I bake it! Cookies, cakes, pies, anything that goes in the oven, I like to cook. And I have two aprons. One is a full body apron, that my Grandma Diane made for me, and it is SOOOO cute! I love it to death. I got it for my birthday this year! My other apron is a half apron that my Grandma Kay bought for me at Gardner Village! It is off white on one side, and the other side is white, with green and blue eggs on it. Then there is a blue/green/orange stripe going down the middle, and the pockets are way cute. OH and on the white side, it says Rise and Shine! It is my cleaning apron. Today I am feeling better, and I think I got whatever it was out of my system. Yay! Now we have a lot to do today, because my mom has her book group tonight. Should be fun! They read Little Britches. She is gonna make Chicken Dumpling Soup, Brandied Carrots, Custard Cream Pie, and, I think that's it. Should be fun! Me and my dad and brother are gonna go to dinner while she is having it. Well, There's a lot of work to do! I should be able to post again tomorrow.

Blustery Days

Today had been a great day for me. As far as the weather goes. I don't know why, but I just love blustery days. It could be because of Winnie the Pooh... Or maybe I just like to see things flying around in an uncontrollable fit. Whenever there is a blustery day like today, I say to my mom, "I love blustery days" she always says that she has never been a fan. I only like blustery days in the fall though. With all the leaves flying everywhere, and the bare trees swaying with the wind, the fresh nip of air that it brings, or maybe it's the secure feeling that I get when I look out the window. I love the smell, the sound, the feel, I guess I just love everything about blustery days. They make me want to run, be free. I love the way that the clouds caress the mountains, and the way the wind blows through the bare trees. It's really an amazing thing to me. I don't know what makes them so special to me, or why I like them so much. They are just cool. I think it may be because it reminds me of Disneyland. There is a Winnie the Pooh ride there, and there is a "blustery" room. It is so cute. Today has been okay for me. I went to my last class of Shakespeare, before we leave for Arizona. It was a bitter sweet day. My friend Haven made me a bracelet. It is very cute. I am glad I am not actually moving for good to Arizona, and leaving all my friends and family behind here. I know eventually I would adjust, and make new friends, but you can't replace friends or family. I am very grateful we have the option to come home, and visit with people. Anyways, I woke up this morning feeling "off". I think you probably know what I'm talking about. Waking up with achy muscles, fuzzy head, heavy eyes. I thought this was just a bit unusual, but didn't think much of it during my rush out the door to Shakespeare. When I got home, I started getting a sore throat. I had my mom look at it, and she didn't see anything unusual. I believed her, relieved she didn't find anything. I looked at my throat in the mirror, and noticed a white puss pocket. Dread... I could only see it from a certain particular angle, so it's no wonder my mom couldn't see it. We looked up some pictures of strep throat, and sure enough, saw those white pockets. We immediately assumed strep, and I just laid down to rest. I noticed my sore throat wasn't getting worse. I don't think I have strep, but I don't know for sure. I am keeping my eye on it, and taking some Umcka just in case. Umcka works wonders! I will keep resting 'till I start feeling better. Luckily there's Spongebob to keep me company. ;) I best be resting now. Thanks for reading!

My Title Here --->

I think I may have taken up a new hobby! Sewing! I have spent the past few days just sewing away! So far, I have made four pet beds, two outfits for my Build-a-Bear Cinny, an apron for my Grandma Diane, and a whole lot of experiments! It's so relaxing to cut, then pin, then sew it all together. Except when my cat Angel gets in the way, and makes everything a pain in the butt. Also, everything I have made has been recycled! I just use old clothes that don't fit anymore, and transform them into a pet bed, or an apron! I made Kelli's bed out of a tank top that my cousin Tiani gave me. It is a white shirt with black along the bottom, and yellow flowers on it. I made Angel's bed out of a button up tee shirt that I got at Target. It is a blue plaid shirt, with cute ruffles and such. I made Dill's bed out of a shirt that my aunt gave me. It is green with an argyle texture, and a stripe texture as well. And I made Jasmine's bed out of a dress that I got at Old Navy. It is blue and pink stripes! They are way cute. I made one of Cinny's outfits out of an old dress that I had. It had that scrunchy, stretchy fabric that is kind of like an elastic waistband, but it is pretty. I cut part of that off, and sewed it to the very bottom of the dress. The scrunchy fabric was white with blue polka spots, and the bottom had blue flowers and spots on it. I love that dress! It is so pretty. I also made a bow out of that fabric. Her other outfit is a nightgown. I took an old long sleeve pajama shirt that I had, and basically just brought in all the sides ALOT, and that was that! It is made out of really soft fleece. I love snuggling her in that. My Grandma Diane's apron is made out of some old brown Capri's that I had. They have the smallest brown and pink plaid I think I have ever seen! I basically just cut along the inseam of the pants, and hemmed all the spots that I cut. Then I took a Blue shirt that I had, and put it in the V spot where the inseam was, then I attached some light pink lace that I had for my Halloween costume last year to the bottom of the blue part of the apron. THEN I took a cute pink belt, and put it in the belt loops of the pants/apron. It is so cute! I plan to give it to her soon. Well, there is a big mess in the craft room that needs cleaning, so I'll be off! I should be able to post soon. 'Till then, Bye!

Catching Up

Hey Everyone! I know it has been a long time since I have posted, so here it goes.

Well, Lots of things have changed since the last time I posted! First of all, we will start with home school. This year has gone really well as far as classes, lessons, and things like that. I am taking a Shakespeare class on Tuesday mornings, and that is really fun. We are just finishing Macbeth this week. It was WAY good! We discuss our book, Macbeth, and we play games that help with actors training, and we learn dances of the Elizabethan Era, and act out little scenes from Shakespeare. It is SO much fun! I love this class to death. Not only is it a great learning experience, but it also is a great social experience as well! I have made many friends in that class.

Science
I am currently taking an amazing online Science class. It is probably one of my favorite classes, and I think I have learned the most from this class, than I have in any other class! We started out with a little history of science. Learning the earliest scientists, and then the most recent scientists. We then moved on to learning about THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD(echoey super-hero voice), and how to apply it to experiments. Right now, we are learning about the different types of Science. We are talking about Archaeology, Paleontology, and Geology. I always kind of feel bad for Geology. It's not as grand as Archaeology or Paleontology. Anyways, in Archaeology, we are talking about how a historical document, or something of that sort, how do we know it is true? There is the Internal Test, which tests to see if the document contradicts itself, the External Test, to see if it contradicts any other artifacts, places, or other documents, and The Bibliographic Test, which tests if the document is the same as the original. Pretty fun eh? I love this class to death, and last night I got 100% on my exam! I am so proud of myself! We even celebrated with sparkling cider.

Math
Math has been surprisingly easy this year! I am really starting to get the hang of it, and how it all works. My mom has been really working hard to make sure that I understand it, and remember it. I am behind a year or so in math, but that's okay, cause I am doing well, and I know I will catch up. I am right in the middle of learning about Decimals.

Violin
I am currently taking an awesome violin/fiddle class from Nisha Harman. I love to just play away on my violin. I could do it all day! I am currently starting a classical song, my first in about two years. It is Concerto in A Minor. It is a beautiful song, and I love to play it. I also am getting a little bit better at performing in front of people. I am fine performing for my mom, or dad, or brother. But anyone else, I am still a bit shaky in the knees! I love violin, and I think I will continue to play the rest of my life.

Art
I am not taking any art classes right now, but I would love too. One O, or two... Anyways I love to draw, paint, and anything of that sort. Last night I drew a cute little Snowman that I am really proud of. :)
...
In my opinion, the world is my school. Every time I take a step outside, I am learning something new. Whenever I have a question, I can just ask my teacher. I love to know that I learn something new every day. Even if it is something small, like remembering how to write a lowercase q in cursive. Each time we go to a play, or even to dinner. It's so refreshing. By the way, the world is a GREAT teacher. :)

Pets
Well, we still have a lot of pets! We recently sold some of our goats. We sold four babies, and one mama. They all went to great homes! Except last night I had a dream that we brought one of our baby goats back from their old home, because he was being abused, and forced to eat "fresh poo"... I have NO idea where that came from! We currently have two goats, our sweet buck, Riot, and our sweet doe, Suzie. I know I am a farm girl at heart, so I love to go out and take care of our animals! They are so fulfilling. We still have our two sweet ponies, Beau and Ginger. They are the sweetest ponies you could ever find! I love them to death! Especially when they are fuzzy for the winter. We have five chickens, three Rhode Island Reds, one Australorp, and one Silkie. They are so cute! Our Mother Hen's name is Fern, and our other two RIR's are named Autumn, and Honey. Our Australorop's name is Mortitia, and she is at the bottom of the pecking order. :( And our silkie, who is a rooster, his name is Mr. Bojangles. He is the funniest looking chicken! Ever! For some reason though, he doesn't like being the top chicken. I don't know why! We have four dogs still, Dodger, Jasmine, Jade, and Dill. Dodger is Brit's dog, and he is an Australian Shepherd mix, Jasmine is my dog, and she is a Blue Heeler mix, Jade is my dad's dog, and she is a Yellow Lab, and Dill is my mom's dog, he is a Yorkie Pekingese. We love our dogs, and they love us. I have two indoor cats, Kelli, and Angel, and they are dandy! And we have six outdoor cats that are faithful to staying with us. Mama Kitty, Tim, Shadow, Dream, Tabby, and Noelle. During the summer, our sweet Daddy Cat passed away. He is missed everyday. There are a few feral cats that hang around our property. One is named Koochy, and he looks just like Daddy Cat did, the other doesn't have a name, but she is really cute. She has crossed eyes, a grey coat, and she is really fuzzy. Her and our cat Shadow, who is mentally retarded, hang out together, and it is really cute. She lives in our horse trailer. Any name ideas for her? She is getting used to me and my mom a little bit. And then there's Kiwi. He is such a sweet little bird, and I love him to death! He is with me right now, watching me type, and eating a paper towel. He is so cute, and I love him to death! About a month ago, we found a kitten on the side of the road. She was pretty much dead from starvation. We brought her home, and fed her some soft cat food. She had diarrhea from the very start, and it never ceased. She would eat, and drink, but she still wasn't doing well. One day, she started doing a little bit better, we let ourselves get a little bit of hope that she was going to make it. Later that night, she passed on peacefully. I feel so grateful that we got to spend those few days with that sweet little kitten. She was the sweetest, most adorable thing in the world. I miss you Boo, and you will always have a place in my heart.

Life
Well now I'm all teared up! Sniff Sniff... Anyways, Life's good! I am really happy right now, and I love my life. I feel like I am a very privileged thirteen year old. The things I have said above pretty much are my life, aside from my family. Usually, I wake up, get ready for whatever class I have that day, take care of my cats, take care of my bird, then go to class. When I get home, I do my chores, and my other home school, then I have the rest of the day off! I have a wonderful life, filled with wonderful people. Recently, we got a banjo. It is sooo much fun to play! I have learned a couple of fiddle songs, the Dueling Banjo's, Yankee Doodle, O' Susanna, and When the Saints Come Marching In! It is a ton of fun to play! I taught Brit part of the Dueling Banjo's, and I played it on my fiddle, and we dueled! It was awesome! On Wednesday night, I went to a CCS dinner with my dad. My mom hurt her shoulder recently, so she couldn't make it. So my dad invited me! It was so cool, and I was so grateful I got to go! I got to meet all the people that dad works with, and I even got to meet Bishop Wester! He is so nice. I had soo much fun! Thanks for taking me dad! Today I am going to a movie with my friend Shelby! She is so nice, and it is her birthday today! We are going to see Despicable Me. I am way excited! And, I hope she likes her gift. I am so happy lately, and I just love everything about my life. Even the sad, and hard times. I am a very lucky girl.

Thanks so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post.

Have a nice day!
